There are two .Net roles at FINRA: POSITION #1 FINRA-Rockville, MD The individual will: - Be responsible for development and unit testing of .NET code. - Perform design and programming activities involving multiple modules or subsystems. - Work with the application development team, QC team, and business stakeholders to ensure continued successful development and deployment of FINRA's Registration and Disclosure service offerings. - Analyze and research technical and business requirements to determine feasibility of design and implementation within time constraints. - Create technical design documents from business and technical requirements. - Provide peer reviews of other team members work products. - Adhere to existing development processes. Experience required: - Minimum of five years of hands-on experience with web development in the Windows environment. - Strong familiarity and experience with VB.NET, ASP.NET and ADO.NET development, patterns, and architectures. - Strong familiarity and experience with Oracle and PL SAQL Development. - Demonstrated understanding of the software development process -- technical knowledge of all phases of systems analysis and programming. - Strong problem-solving skills with demonstrated ability to initiate and participate in technical discussions on complex issues. - Good communication and teamwork skills. POSITION #2 FINRA- Rockville, MD The individual will: - Be responsible for development of bug fixes and enhancements of C# code. - Provide peer reviews of other team members work products. - Adhere to existing development processes. Experience required: - Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with .NET (VB/C#, ASP.NET, and ADO.NET) development, patterns, and architectures (experience with Visual Studio 2005 or 2008 is required) in an internet environment. - Demonstrated understanding of the software development process -- technical knowledge of all phases of systems analysis and programming. - Strong problem-solving skills with demonstrated ability to initiate technical discussions on complex issues. - Good communication and teamwork skills. - Oracle back end with Hibernate as open source integration tool- Prefer candidates with this experience.
