*This is a 15 months contract. * * * *Need great com skills.* The primary responsibilities of the IA/Designer will be to: · Work with the Business Analysis team and other team leads to develop business requirements · Translate business requirements into process/ navigational task flows and UI models · Create wireframes; review them with business owners and technical team to obtain approval · Create functional specifications; review them with business owners and technical team to obtain approval. · Work with stakeholders to analyze their business objectives and direction in order to develop branding and integrated application UI designs. · Create UI designs within the larger branding direction set by the Analysis & Design Director. · Work in team environment with good organizational abilities; · Work on multiple work streams and releases simultaneously with a minimum of supervision. The IA/Designer resource will produce the following deliverables: · Process/ navigation task flows (UI model) · Wireframes · Functional Specifications documents · Content Inventory · UI and Graphic Designs · Ongoing graphic enhancements *MANDATORY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE * * * · Minimum 4 years information architecture experience; experience developing information architecture on medium- to large-scale web-based projects; · Minimum 3 years graphic design experience (web-based) · Experience working directly with Business Analysts and Developers to develop and document functional/ navigational flows · Experience developing wireframes, Functional Specifications, and GUI designs with prototyping tools (Photoshop, Illustrator, Html/ GoLive/ Dreamweaver); · Experience translating wireframes into final graphic UI designs using Photoshop · Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with multi-disciplinary team members · Ability to present to and communicate directly with clients · Ability to work on projects to completion with a minimum of supervision · Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Visio, Excel, Word) · Online portfolio that demonstrates strong visual design skills and ability to work within established branding directions; portfolio also demonstrates experience designing for information- or technology-heavy projects and ability to work within technology constraints. · Strong analytical thinking, organizational skills and attention to detail · Proven analytical skills through work experience; *DESIRABLE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE* Experience working on government technology projects with the City of New York is preferable. Experience designing and architecting for search technologies and search implementation is beneficial as well. A Bachelors or Masters degree in MIS, Computer Science, or equivalent experience is desired; *SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS** * References should be provided from at least two former or current clients where the contractor has performed the same or similar work. Provide the name, address, phone number and e-mail address of the reference as well as a brief description of the work performed.
