Title: Business Objects Developer

Location: NYC, NY

Duration: 6 months



Responsibilities:

·         Work with customer to understand and define data requirements.

·         Design, develop and test Universes as required to support data
requirements for the business.

·         Design, develop and test reporting objects using WEBI tools.

·         Help guide business WEBI developers in best practices and help
with complex reporting needs.

·         Help lead BO 3.1x to 4.1 upgrade from both a functional and
technical aspect.

·         Work with members of the Enterprise Business Intelligence team to
contribute

·         Proficient in writing complex ANSI SQL; strong data analysis
skills

·         Proven experience designing and building universes and WEBI
reporting solutions using Business Objects Enterprise XI 3.1x and above.

·         Bring in best practices in architecting, designing and supporting
BO applications.

·         Optimizing the performance of enterprise business intelligence
solutions by defining opportunities to redesign or re-architect data
structures or data flows.

·         Strong and proven SQL experience and performance tuning.

·         Experience using Query Builder for extracting information from
the BO landscape.



Desired Skills and Experience:

·         5-plus years’ experience in design and development with Business
Objects XI 3.1x and above.

·         Advanced analytical thinking and problem solving skills.

·         “Get it done” attitude

·         Superior communication and business-technical interaction skills

·         Good understanding of Data Modeling concepts, Data relationships
and BI

·         Ability to ramp-up quickly in any functional area

·         Strong leadership qualities
