*Position::* *Business Analyst with Retail Domain*
*Location:: New Albany OH*
*Duration:: Contract role*
*Description*
· Strong understanding and experience with various OmniChannel
projects is preferred
· Proficiency with Order Management Systems, eCommerce, POS and/or
Fulfillment systems is preferred
· Works with QA on test strategy and planning activities, including
the execution of required tests
*Responsibilities:*
Coordinate and lead user discovery sessions and project team meetings to
gather and organize project business requirements and use cases on assigned
projects
Analyze and document IT and business processes and design improvements that
reduce expense and increase customer satisfaction through improvements in
quality, efficiency, and communication
Contribute to issue identification, tracking & resolution; Assist Project
Manager with administrative tasks, as needed
Identify innovative solutions to improve cross-functional processes and
operational efficiency
Design, coordinate, and execute application functional tests to ensure
fulfillment of business requirements and IT quality, architectural, and
security standards
Work closely with the quality assurance team on the correct testing
methodology/tools/reporting, focusing on requirements and user test
methodology
*Qualifications*
· Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, MIS/CIS,
Engineering, or related field (required)
· 5+ years’ experience as a Business Analyst, preferably with a
minimum 2 years in a retail environment
· Strong Business Analyst skills – experience with process
modeling, use case development and detailed requirements documentation,
with an expertise in IT systems development lifecycle
· At least 2 years’ experience on either the Functional/Business
and/or Technical side in eCommerce or retail is recommended to be able to
quickly understand and assess the business processes and requirements.
· Ability to lead business and IT associates with strong
interpersonal skills, including collaboration, facilitation, leadership,
and negotiation skills.
· Excellent written and verbal communications skills to facilitate
cross-cultural communications between and among highly experienced business
and IT associates.
· Excellent analytical skills with the ability to breakdown and
effectively communicate complex business and technical processes, problems,
and issues.
· Excellent planning and organizational skills; capable of
multi-tasking across several projects.
· Ability to understand the long-term ("big picture") and short
term perspectives of situations.
· Personal Attributes: Confident, Self-starter, Strong work ethic,
Highly motivated, Sense of humor, A Winning 'Will-Do' attitude, Team
oriented
