*Job Title : ETL Data Warehouse DeveloperLocation : New York City, NY (Need Local)Duration : Long Term ContractFace to Face InterviewResponsibilities:* Involved in the implementation of our overriding data strategy solution for managing Market, Investment, Risk, and Client data. Major project now is rebuilding a critical Data Warehouse. Translate logical designs into physical databases and to understand/manage the flow of data from data sources to the company's various end user systems and reports. 2 main Data Sources are SQL Server and some Geneva data tables. Data Architecture Planning Design and develop systems with a constant eye toward company's long-term data architecture vision, utilizing agreed upon standards Participate in the high level design of processes for governing the identification, collection, and use of firm metadata; take steps to assure metadata accuracy and validity Establish methods and procedures for tracking data quality, completeness, redundancy, and improvement Work with Enterprise Data Architect to analyze data sources and determine process/approach for managing them in a central data warehouse Design and Development Design and develop ETL to load the data warehouse, utilizing reusable design components Tune ETL code for efficiency Map data sources, data movement, interfaces, and analytics, with the goal of ensuring data quality Support company's custom metadata driven ETL solution for onboarding data sources Primary responsibilities estimated percentage allocation: 20% Data Architecture Planning 50% Design and Development 30% Testing/Implementation *Required Skills:* 7+ years' experience as Database/ETL Developer or related position. Strong knowledge of ETL processes/design as well as data modeling - both relational and dimensional. The senior role requires stronger modelling expertise. MS SQL Server development skills is highly preferred, that is, experience writing T-SQL scripts, dynamic SQL, complex stored procedures and functions.
