*DURATION: 3 months with possibly Extension* *LOCATION: Culver City, CA* *INTERVIEW MODE:* *Phone* *In-person* *JOB DESCRIPTION*: Javascript/AngularJS Developer Sony Pictures Entertainment's Digital Media Group is looking for a talented and passionate full-stack developer to join our project team. We’re looking for someone with a strong background in Javascript/front-end work, ideally with experience in AngularJS 1.x, with an eye for detail, clean code, and performant applications. The project is an enterprise build out of a next-generation digital asset management system to store, manage, and distribute files to users worldwide. The project has been running for more than three years and has a tight-knit team of exceptional developers with a very flat organizational structure. No cubes or offices here. Everyone from our interns to the VPs works in an open office environment. The team runs using agile methodologies and our processes are constantly adapting to changing needs. Pair programming is encouraged and test-driven development is the default. Stories are reviewed and pointed as a team. The system utilizes AngularJS (1.5) for its front-end and is a single-page application communicating with a Ruby on Rails API on top of a Postgres database. These are also multiple Ruby back-end services utilizing a mixture of polling and event-driven architectures. The entire infrastructure is hosted in Amazon Web Services (AWS) and is managed with Chef and Opsworks.
