*Job Title: **Azure Cloud Systems Engineer*
*Location: **Montgomery, AL*
*Contract Length: **Long Term contract.*
*Interview preferred to be F2F but first interview can be via Skype or
GoToMeeting*
This consultant must be a high level, Architect who has built major Azure
infrastructures. Not just someone who has taken over an existing
infrastructure. Must have high level virtualization experience/skill.
Most helpful if they have good contacts in the* Azure* community (even with
MS).
The Azure Cloud Systems Engineer will provide expertise in the following
areas:
- Design, deployment, Upgrade, and Decommissioning of Windows services,
primarily based in Azure Government, including, but not limited to:
- Active Directory
- DNS
- DHCP
- Remote Desktop Services
- Certificate Services
- SQL Server
- IIS
- Dynamics CRM
- Support Azure implementation projects, initially focused on
Infrastructure as a Service, with the ability to migrate to Platform as a
Service at a later date.
- Design cloud deployments and support adoption of industry
best-practice as well as the adoption of CARES patterns and practices.
- Automate Azure tasks using PowerShell.
Serve as a liaison between CARES and Microsoft to understand the impact of
Microsoft’s Azure roadmap on the CARES environment.
Provide the following deliverables per direction of and assignment by the
Agency Project Sponsor and/or the CARES Program Director:
- CARES Datacenter plans
- Backup and maintenance strategy and standards
- Weekly status reports on EA efforts
- Patterns and Practices for CARES infrastructure efforts
- Training for infrastructure personnel in CARES patterns and practices
- Project Plans
- Project Status Reports
- All identified project documents
Other deliverables as identified and assigned
The *Azure Cloud Services Engineer* provided shall, at a minimum, meet the
following requirements *or* possess an equivalent combination of education
and experience:
*Experience:*
- 10+ years of experience with Systems administration and infrastructure
management
- Strong work ethic
- Flexible and pro-active approach
- Disciplined and able to work under pressure
- Work collaboratively within a team and alone on key projects and
deliverables
- Interest in health and human services
- Excellent standard of spoken and written English
- Awareness of Service Delivery methodologies
- Experience of managing projects
- HIPAA experience (desirable)
- Excellent communication and organization skills
- Excellent time management
- Excellent presentation interpersonal skills
- Team player
- Ability to contribute to meetings effectively
- An understanding of how businesses operate and make decisions
Education/Certification:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year college or University
in an appropriate technical degree program or equivalent experience
Currently have, or be willing to attain at own expense through self-study,
certification in Microsoft Cloud Services MCSD: Azure Solutions Architect).
