 Client  is in the midst of a critical Finance project - transitioning from
one GL to another. In January 2015 Oracle GL will become the core GL for
the organization and SUN GL will be decommissioned. As Client moves to a
new general ledger platform the organization is seeking to optimize the
reporting functionality across a range of new tools (Oracle Financial
Analytics, Essbase and Hyperion Financial Reports) as well as continuing to
leverage off existing tools (HFM & Hyperion Planning) in a bid to develop
more business benefits. This will allow Finance to meet more demanding
Management Information requests. This key project position, within the
Finance Systems team, will be pivotal in the creation of reports for end
users pre go-live. It will require close working relationships with the
Vendors (The Hackett Group), based in the US, as well as project team
members and the Finance end user community.

*KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: *



As a key member of the SUN GL Decommissioning Reporting  Work stream (RWS)
team the

position:



· Has a primary responsibility for report development/analysis, including
data validation. In this role, the report developer will engage internal
and external project team members in report writing and analytical efforts.

· Reviews report specifications to determine basic characteristics, such as
origin and report flow, format, data elements, frequency, distribution, and
purpose of report function.

· Develops report per specifications in ESSBASE (and Hyperion Planning and
HFM if required).

· Prepare and issue instructions concerning generation, completion, and
distribution of reports according to new or revised practices, procedures,
or policies of reports management.

· Design and deliver end-user training and training materials, provide
technical and data support as necessary.

· Understand and comprehends system changes as they affect data, reports,
and reporting systems

· Communicating issues/risks within the RWS with regards to status of
report development

· Providing regular updates re status of reports developed/issues
identified/risks, if any, associated with new tools. The above statements

· Delivering materials to be included in RWS status updates.

· Be involved in the UAT process – assisting with testing strategy,
development of test scripts as well as tracking, resolving and reviewing
end user issues during the testing cycle.

· Ability to manage tasks/projects with aggressive
deadlines/time-sensitivity

· Day to day maintenance of Essbase and OBI integration tools following
vendor roll off from the project

· Other duties as assigned.



*REQUIRED EDUCATION/TRAINING & EXPERIENCE: *



· Expertise across Hyperion Financial Reporting and Smartview (7 years+)

· Hands on knowledge of the Hyperion Applications including HFM, Planning
and Essbase

· Knowledge of finance processes together with knowledge of standard
finance systems (e.g. Oracle EBS)

· Experience with Essbase and OBIEE integration using tools like ODI,
Essbase Studio and SQL is highly desired

· Experience with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, MS Project) or
equivalents is highly desired

· Knowledge of Oracle Business Intelligence and the Oracle Financial
Analytics module within OBIEE is an advantage

· Attention to detail with strong verbal and written communication skills
as well as strong problem-solving abilities.

· Experience in gathering reporting requirements from multiple business
units, organizing and translating the requirements into individual reports
in the application and prioritizing them for reports development and
testing

· Experience operating in a reporting governance model to help facilitate
new intake of reports, mapping to existing reports and help with
elimination of redundancy and duplication of reports in a Production
environment

· Flexibility to travel, if required.



*OTHER DESIRED SKILLS & CHARACTERISTICS: *



· Oracle Hyperion 11 Certification is desirable but not required.

· Experience with global companies with multiple locations in different
groups and

multi-currency reporting.

• Track record of identifying and analyzing problems, identifying &
evaluating options,

deploying sound decision making skills.

• P&C Insurance experience would be highly beneficial.
