*Position: Application Release EngineerLocation: Irvine, CA Duration: Long termRate : $50/hr on CtoC* *Job Description:* The Application Release Analyst role is primarily responsible for providing operational software release management support for applications within the clients Investment Systems. The application systems are a combination of internally developed systems and purchased packages. The skills that this role requires include excellent analysis skills, excellent communication and collaboration skills, problem solving skills, and document preparation and formatting skills. In addition, some experience in gathering and documenting system requirements and writing specifications is highly desirable. *This support is provided in the following ways:* Demonstrated experience in: • Participates in software releases and service requests • Works closely with customers to package and deploy application code and/or scripts to support application bug fixes or enhancements • Reviews adhoc reports to understand weekly release demand and assists in keeping team service provisioning in a load balanced state • Consults with customers on an as-needed basis for technical support, release planning and issues resolution • Acts as liaison between internal customers and Operational Service Providers (if external to Application Release) • Performs analysis to effectively understand and address release management issues.
