*NEED A PERSON WITH SQL EXPERIENCE, BUT IT SHOULD BE LOCAL TO NC* *Position:* *SQL Support Engineer (This person DOES NOT have to be a developer but will be doing some coding)* Location: Raleigh, NC (Need Local to NC) Duration: 6 month extendable contract *Interview: In Person Interview * No degree is required! ***REALLY GOOD COMMUNICATION IS KEY*** Business logics and SQL is a must. This person DOES NOT have to be a developer but will be doing some coding Great applications support position! Day-to-Day Process: o Calls come in and are assigned to a team of the technical support team. The queue stays around approximately 20 calls with 4-5 incoming per day. This is not a 24/7 job. Working with development teams to resolve issues and then testing the resolution. o Aptitude to anticipate issues that could arise within development Performance work o Business logic then SQL are priority. There is also an iOS application - there may be a need to debug and support those as well. Some common scenarios for Level II Support Specialists: 1. A new customer is coming onboard. They are not familiar with the system so they ended up entering their data incorrectly. In this case support might be engaged to fix their data by figuring out what is wrong and writing SQL code to fix the data in the database. 2. A call might come in stating that there is a bug in the business logic – something is not working as expected. Their job is to figure out if the issue is that the expectations are wrong (i.e., the customer thinks the system should behave a certain way) or if the system is wrong (a bug).
