Duration: 8+ Month Rate: 50$/hr on Corp – Corp all Inc *Note: For this position the candidates has to attend In–Person on his own expenses* Least 5+ years as an Oracle DBA on Unix/Linux (required) with solid Unix/Linux shell scripting as well as experience managing large multi-terabyte databases and experience managing Oracle RAC databases. *Job Duties & Responsibilities:* *Description:* Position is responsible for planning strategies surrounding the availability, performance, integrity and security of production databases. Actively contributes to the architecture and system design; support of company for all customers’ database. Duties include database support, research, design and implementation of new features and functionality that will benefit companys’ product-line. *Responsibilities:* · Responsible for ensuring the availability and performance of the production and development database environments · Provide front-line database support supporting client facing applications · Research, design and implement new technology and database features · Provide recommendations surrounding technology selection for components that are part of Client products · Backup/recover strategy and planning · Participate in disaster recovery planning and execution · Responsible for problem escalation to Oracle Support and third parties as necessary · Work closely with customers and internal staff on database design and construction of customer databases · Research and recommend technology selections · Work as part of a project team to coordinate database development and determine project scope and limitations. · Act as a database subject matter expert supporting our product engineering and support teams · Diagnose and solve complex problems including non-functional problems such as performance issues by identifying workarounds, and driving resolution / "owning" the problem. · Participation in off-hours on-call support rotation *Qualifications:* · Bachelor’s degree in computer science, math or engineering (required) · 5 + years as an Oracle DBA on Unix/Linux (required) · Competent in Unix/Linux shell scripting (required) · Experience managing large multi-terabyte databases · Experience managing Oracle RAC databases · Experience installing, upgrading, and managing Oracle Enterprise Manager Grid Control (preferred) · Strong query tuning and performance problem solving skills (preferred) · Strong RMAN backup and recovery skills (required) · Strong SQL DDL, DML, and PLSQL coding skills (required) · Effective verbal and written communication skills · Experience with healthcare claims databases (preferred) · Self-starter with good ability to work in a team environment · Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and complete work within allocated time-frames · Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time * * *Thanks & Regards, **J* * * *Srujan* *Prodigy Software Group Inc* *Tel No.: 412 436 0633* *Fax No.: 412 937 9047* *sruj...@prodigysoftwaregroup.com* <sruj...@prodigysoftwaregroup.com> *www.prodigysoftwaregroup.com* -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Open Source Erp & Crm" group.
