Position: Testing Manager Location: New York, NY Duration: 12Months Rate: $60/hr Please note that this is a 35 hour work week. Mandatory Requirements: 1. Three or more years in a large-scale Cognos report writing/testing environment. 2. Ability to deliver reports via Cognos Report Studio 3. Demonstrated track record of testing experience and testing management. 4. Ability to analyze SQL statements for improved performance. 5. Good knowledge of SQL 6. Strong working knowledge of software development life cycle. Desirable Experience: 7. Good understanding of City’s HR and Payroll systems. 8. Knowledge of CityTime. 9. Knowledge of PMS. 10. Knowledge of PPMS. 11. Cognos certifications. Job Description: Deliver tested reports for production (>150 per year) for a large-scale reporting front-end that handles payment data for over 600,000 entities. Develop test scripts for CHRMS and CityTime; run tests against new and revised reports. Write test plans and produce complete test cases after a proper understanding of all reporting requirements. Responsible for conducting Functional, Integration, Regression, and User Acceptance Testing. Ensure CHRMS is running against various hardware/software upgrades made at FISA Perform QA on report design and SQL. Available to test with FISA on the weekend multiple times per year.
