Title: Network Engineer/Administrator posted on 2014-11-11 15:10:59 Job Description:*Required Experience* 3 or more years of relevant professional level experience or an equivalent combination. Must include intermediate to advanced knowledge of configuring and operating enterprise-level TCP/IP networks, management of switches and routers, network security appliances, load-balancers, developing complex Cisco IOS configurations, and/or experience managing, and troubleshooting network services such as DNS, DHCP, NTP, etc. *Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities* Excellent verbal, analytical, time management, and problem-solving skills. Ability to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience. Proficiency with PC/Windows, Macintosh, and Unix/Linux operating systems. Advanced understanding of Cisco products and configurations. Proficiency in performing network analysis and troubleshooting, using CLI and other tools such as wireshark, etc. Experience automating tasks and performing data and log analysis using basic shell scripting, the Bourne shell, sed, awk, etc. Knowledge of a variety of current and emerging technologies. *Preferred Experience* Intensive network configuration and troubleshooting experience with MS Windows, Apple Macintosh and Unix/ Linux Operating Systems in a large (>10,000 nodes) campus environment. Experience in supporting a multi-site Global WAN using both public and private connectivity. Experience with network management systems such as HP Openview. Previous experience and basic understanding of administering Unix-based systems.
