I have this immediate requirement Title : *Service Support Analyst* Location : New York Duration *:* 1 Year *Details:* Major financial services firm requires a Service Support Analyst. Provide in-depth application support services in real-time, including: facilitation of application outage calls focused on minimizing disruption to the business & operations through controlled, analysis and rapid resolution of immediate application outages and proactive application management to avoid outages. The impact of not hiring would be an increased likelihood of mismanaged outages with greater impact on business & operations and an increased likelihood of reoccurrence. The level of business risk associated with outages and the pressured time driven decision making requires a full time employee to perform the role. *Position Description :-* This is a diverse role, which provides great personal development opportunities and will suit an astute application support analyst with an appetite for responsibility, front office business contact, hands-on technology exposure and daily challenge in a dynamic environment. The successful candidate will exhibit strong knowledge of Corporate Actions and Dividend Taxation/Payment business processes and distributed platform technical skills and be able to apply these to troubleshooting significant system outages. *Skills Required :-* Advanced knowledge of Linux/Unix operating systems Advanced knowledge of Sybase, Relational Database concepts and SQL syntax Perl and shell scripting, Java/JXB, C++ Strong experience with client/server based application architectures.
