*Title: Sr. Data Analyst* *Location: 705 Mount Auburn Street, Watertown MA 02472* *Duration: 6-12 months, could extend longer * *Interview Process: Phone interview, then in person interview with implementation team* *Job Description* Data Designer is responsible for understanding the business needs and IT’s capabilities to ensure that enhancements to data domains meet the needs of business and adhere to architecture standards. They are engaged in defining and implementing all proposed system changes (ETL) and enhancements to Oracle operational and/or data warehouse instances. This Database Designer is responsible for translating business/technical analyst data requirements into source, logical and target mappings with transformation logic. • Analyze reports, forms, queries, and data extraction BRD and TRD user requirement documents created by the analyst teams to understand data model changes. • Perform detailed data profiling activities to define source system. • Perform data profiling activities to drive data modeling and source to target mappings • Create and maintain data mappings, transformation logic for logical and physical models (ETL TRD, SLM)/STM) to support implementation and ongoing maintenance of the operational data stores and warehouses. • Work with business and subject matter experts (SME’s) to define new business and data definitions . • Collaborate with analysts, architects and developers through all phases of the SDLC process. • Ensure data models evolve to meet new and changing business needs. • Assist modelers in the maintenance of storing source, design and target mappings and data definitions. • Provides detailed analysis on all new data model and ETL development and enhancement requests to ensure the solution is developed in an efficient manner and works properly with other applications within the system. -Must Haves · Experience collaborating on project scope and vision · Experience gathering and verifying user requirements for completeness, consistency, feasibility, and conformity to standards · Ability and experience creating models, specifications, enhancements, and modifications from different areas of the business · Ability to analyze user requirements for reports, forms, queries and data extraction - Possesses PL/SQL skills with an excellent understanding of the Oracle database environment and data warehouse design and modeling concepts. - Has knowledge of database relationships and table design to support modeling approach and standards compliance. -Pluses · Previous healthcare experience and/or implementation project experience -Day to Day • *Profiling/Design * – Analyze reports, forms and data extraction BRDs/TRDs created by analysts – Profile data to drive data modeling (SLM) and source to target. mappings(STM). – Work with business and subject matter experts (SME’s) to create definitions – Collaborate with Modelers to complete design • *Documentation * – Create data mappings, transformation logic for logical and physical models (ETL TRD, SLM)/STM) to support implementation and ongoing maintenance of the operational data stores and warehouses. – Assist modelers in the maintenance of storing source, design and target mappings and data definitions. • *Quality * – Role does not change keep same guidelines - we will performs CIT and PVT testing and QA testing when applicable.
