Job Title : Sr. Websphere Architect/Engineer Location : Lodi, OH Duration : 5+ months Contract to hire Description : Candidate must be a US Citizen or have a Green Card/EAD. * * ***No H1s will be considered**** * * Client is looking for a Sr. Websphere Engineer/Architect with hands-on experience with Websphere 7.0 and preferred Websphere 6.1. Must have previous experience helping lead and mentor a team. Must have strong leadership skills. * * Candidate should have strong to Expert SME Administration in the following: - Demonstrated understanding of how WebSphere Application Server (WAS) relates to the WebSphere family of products - Demonstrated ability to describe and implement the architectural concepts related to WAS 7.0 - Demonstrated strong work experience in the Installation and configuration of WAS and IBM HTTP Server (IHS) - Demonstrated strong knowledge of the concepts of the Java 5 Platform, Enterprise Edition (JEE 5) - Demonstrated past work experience in installing server-side Java enterprise applications, using WAS administrative tools to configure and manage enterprise applications, configuring security for server-side application resources, deploying applications in clustered environments, viewing performance information about server and application components - Demonstrated knowledge of WAS support for scripting and automation - Demonstrated past work experience coding in Jython to develop, test, and debug automation scripts, and writing scripts to automate common WAS administration tasks - Preferred CISSP certification - Preferred IBM Certified Advanced Systems Administrator V Websphere Application Server certification * * Candidate should also have strong to expert skills in the following areas: - Demonstrated strong understanding of the Java EE 5 application model, including EJBs, JSP, HTTP sessions, and servlets - Demonstrate strong understanding of Java EE 5 technologies, such as JDBC, JMS, JNDI, JTA, and JAAS - Demonstrated strong understanding of HTTP server concepts - Demonstrated strong work experience in system administration in Unix and SUSE Linux, physical and virtual. - Demonstrate strong work experience in Internet concepts (for example, firewalls, Web browsers, TCP/IP, SSL, HTTP, and so forth) - Demonstrated strong work experience in standard markup languages such as XML and HTML - Demonstrated strong work experience in Web services, including SOAP, UDDI, and WSDL - Demonstrated knowledge of bean scripting framework languages * * Candidate will work in a small team as the lead of the team.
