Seeking a WebLogic Administrator to provide advanced support for an
enterprise level, SuSE Linux based application server platforms.



Technical responsibilities include:

                Participating in the installation, configuration and
administration of WebLogic v10.x (and higher) and as necessary
post-implementation support including an on-call rotation.

                Performing WebLogic server load testing.  Specifically
setting up testing environment, executing tests and making recommendations
based on test results.

                Supporting WebLogic migration efforts for existing Java,
Tomcat and .NET based web apps.

                Providing web server support for application development
staff, business systems users and will also work closely with Level I
Support, systems SMEs and vendors as necessary to diagnose and resolve
technical issues.



Administrative responsibilities include:

                Prioritizing support requests; effective task planning;
executing an established change control process and proactively
communicating task status and progress.

                Documenting WebLogic monitoring, probing and troubleshooting
best practices for use by less experienced support staff.

                Mitigating risk by proactively identifying potential issues
and suggesting alternate courses of action.

                Participating in the definition of standards and
identification of process improvement opportunities for the platforms
supported.



Required:

                5+ years experience in all aspects of Web Server
Administration including installation, administration, monitoring and
ongoing support of WebLogic v10.x or higher.  (Note:  WebLogic version 10.x
introduced several changes to the product so experience with 10.x is
required.)

                WebLogic Administration experience in an enterprise level
environment.  (Note:  For reference, Monsantos WebLogic environment
(production, test, development and DMZ) consists of 50 physical SuSE Linux
servers.)

                Experience developing and executing WLST and UNIX shell
scripts to automate common tasks including domain configuration and
application deployments.

                Proven ability to develop, discuss and defend technical
solutions with technical and non-technical customers.

                Experience performing advanced level monitoring/probing and
troubleshooting.



Desired:

                Experience leading UNIX based web server migration projects
both project lead and technical implementer.

                Server level load balancing experience involving Cisco
(ANM/ACE), F5, or BigIP.

                Experience performing systems monitoring using Sitescope or
OEM (Oracle Enterprise Monitoring) tools.

                An understanding of DNS and a working knowledge of
networking to include domain hosting and firewall rule syntax.
