12+ Months *Must be currently in DALLAS* *MUST HAVE RECENT LINUX EXPERIENCE * Job Description: · Design, develop, and test software in C/C++ and shell scripting languages on Linux systems · Accountable for architecture and all the technical aspects of the application · Write design, user and test documentation autonomously · Analyze existing software to determine areas for continuous improvement · Work with other leads to plan sprints and deliver solutions for business requirements (user stories) · Participate in project planning activities – breakdown of requirements into tasks, resource and duration estimation, etc. · Create functional and technical documentation as required – this may include use case realizations, detailed technical designs, etc. *Skills Required:* · 5+ years of professional experience · Strong programming skills in C/C++ and shell scripting languages (e.g., bash) on Linux platforms (Java experience in addition is a plus) · Experience with automated testing frameworks and continuous integration systems · Experience with Agile and traditional software development methodologies and excellent working knowledge of best practices in each · Experience with relational database systems (we use PostgreSQL) · Experience with CVS and Subversion.
