Essbase Developer Location - San Jose, CA.....Need LOCAL CANDIDATE Duration - 2 Months with possibility to extend Rate - $50/hr C2C/1099 All Inclusive Start - Next Week Strong technical Staff Business Systems Analyst who is up for the challenge of engaging with the financial teams to help address their data, reporting, modeling, and analysis needs. The role will be responsible for working with key business management to help scope, prioritize, and deliver against their reporting needs. The individual needs to be highly analytical, have understanding of finance and financial concepts, and be able to think and deliver solutions from start to finish. Specific responsibilities include: * Create and deliver insightful analytic solutions utilizing Hyperion Essbase, SQL, and other Business Intelligence tools. * Work with IMD and Finance management to synthesize business requirements into a cohesive technology roadmap. * Plan, scope and help prioritize specific finance initiatives to produce quarterly goals and initiatives. Prepare project plans and manage significant initiatives independently through delivery. * Ability to work at all levels of Finance and Technology organizations to communicate requirements. Report status/progress to senior and executive management. * Stay up to date on core data warehouse design/architecture in order to understand impacts to Finance business. * Proactively identify opportunities to improve the quality, scalability or usability of systems. Job Requirements: - College graduate. MBA graduate preferred. - 3+ years of business and / or financial analyst experience. - 5+ years of Hyperion Essbase development, administration, and / or architecture experience. - 7+ Years of technical finance related experience in the field of OLAP Application Development, Data Warehousing, Business Intelligence, Conceptualization, design and implementation of projects - Individual should have solid technical experience with business intelligence tools, database development and data warehousing concepts / tools (Database design, Data Modeling, Microstrategy, etc.) - Exceptional financial analytical and problem solving skills, and experience applying these skills to resolve application design considerations and technical issues - Strong Finance domain knowledge around revenue, cost, losses, accounting, GL reporting desired. - Strong SQL writing skills with utilization of ad hoc query tools. - Advanced Excel skills - Experience with SQL Server, Oracle, and Teradata. - Client focused consulting experience desired.
