Title: Vignette Engineers/Devp
Key Skills Vignette v5/6 w/TCL.
Exciting and Dynamic Media and Entertainment firm is seeking multiple
Vignette professionals with version 5 and version 6 experience. We have
multiple developer opportunities and an opportunity for a Vignette Engineer.
1) Engineer role> This engineer will help the firms Internet Application
Support team optimize and improve core TCL-based layers of our existing V5
and V6 CMS environments. The engineer will be installing and configuring
Vignette. This individual must possess an ability to gather requirements,
develop code to meet those requirements, manage client expectations and
analyze existing code. This engineer will also be required to help
troubleshoot and resolve complex content rendering issues in a fast paced
environment.
A strong understanding of Vignette V5 and V6 CMS concepts such as Projects,
Templates, Libraries and Components is required. TCL programming skills, as
well as a firm grasp of database concepts, are a must. Any experience
utilizing content tagging and/or taxonomic technologies in a programming
environment is a plus. It would be a plus that the candidate be familiar
with web-related concepts, such as client-server protocols, CGI programming
and concepts, as well as client-side technologies such as JavaScript or Java
Applets.
Requirements>
. 3+ years experience in a professional programming
environment.
. Strong expertise in a high level procedural or
object-oriented programming language.
. Vignette 5/6 experience with an emphasis on TCL required.
. SQL Database programming skills (Sybase 12, Oracle).
. Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
. Experience utilizing tagging and/or taxonomic technologies a
plus.
. Experience utilizing Resource Description Framework (RDF)
based technologies a plus.
Coding API's and performing general development and
optimizations.
. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
The candidate must exhibit strong interpersonal and communication skills as
well as demonstrate the ability to work with both technical and
non-technical personnel on a daily basis and be able to balance multiple
projects.
