Dear, I try to compile open-vm-tools-2009.07.22-179896 on a Debian 5.0.2 (Lenny) running kernel 2.6.26-2 as a ESX 3.5.0 VM. When running configure I get an error: configure: error: glib >= 2.6.0 is required. However glib is installed: ii libc6 2.7-18

I've compiled open-vm-tools-2009.07.22-179896 on a Debian 5.0.2 (Lenny) running kernel 2.6.26-2 as a ESX 3.5.0 VM and loaded the compiled modules. However the ESX server shows still VMware tools "not installed" for the VM. How can I solve this? Thx, P.
