[OpenAFS] AFSD crash / 1.2.13 and 2.4.27 linux kernel

2004-11-22 Thread EC
Hi, I'm using a PIII (mono proc) with a Linux 2.4.27 simple vanilla kernel, and OpenAFS 1.2.13. Loading the module works fine. But when I start afsd... I get something like indicated below. System is very unstable after that (ps -ef cores, so is top, and machine won't reboot unless I reset it).

[OpenAFS] Number of user groups one can create

2004-11-22 Thread Derek T. Yarnell
I thought there was some upper limit on the number of groups a user can create in the pts database. I can not seem to find it in the documentation now. Does anyone know what this is? Is there anyway around the it? From my testing it seems like 20. -- --- Derek T. Yarnell University of Maryland

Hi all, After applying Christof's suggested patches OpenAFS 1.3.74 builds for me, and klog works, but all attempts at examining my cell's root volume (e.g., fs examine /afs/) result in hangs, segmentation faults, or other bizarre behavior. Joe On 19 Nov, 2004, at 11:08, Christof Hanke wrote:

It may still be a problem with the stack, just moved to a different location. That ptch did not fix the problem that ubik_CallIter is being called with the wrong number of parameters. So can you try this instead? I believe it changes all the calls to use the correct number of parameters i.e. 19.
