Angust the points you brought up are weaknesses with subversion, however the rest of subversion is very good from a maintainers perspective, and the SCM's job is to make the maintainer's life easier. I have used git and it doesn't make my life easier :) It makes it alot harder and I have to learn an entire new toolset, convert a repo, get it converted properly, etc. These are all things I don't want to do - we have bigger issues to solve then changing SCMs so we can address the two issues above. I always attempt to give developers credit for their work on the developers list page but this is not always done properly.
