[TOTEM ] A processor failed, forming new configuration.
and what it exaclty means ...
Please : put my email address in copy of the response ...

Hi,
corosync-1.4.1-7
with two rings in corosync.conf , and rrp mode active, is it recommended
to have two distinct mcastaddr ?
(and if so, where can I find this information ?)
or it is not important and we can have same mcast addr on both rings ?
Saying it in another way , is this sample cor
hable ... could you
confirm this or reassure me telling that it is not true ;-) ?
Thanks
Alain

And is the risk null when using two std eth IF ?
Thanks for all information.

Hi,
"you can choose" ... meaning that it is not mandatory ? and my
configuration is correct anyway
hit them because of ifdown, but they are there. Don't expect
crash of corosync. Expect inconsistent membership view, no reaction on
failure, ... In short, just don't do that.

Hi again Jan,
I add another question to my last question :
"what is the real risk
s the patch given in 854216 ?
Thanks again.

Jan,
OK thanks.
By the way, is there a way to modify the corosync.conf mcast values and
to make a Started Pacemaker/corosync configuration take it in account
without a restart ?
Thanks again, it is clear.
Just one last thing ;-) :
which is the last official release available of the corosync rpm ?
and where can I get this last release ?
(can't find it on clusterlabs site)
Thanks

Hi Jan,
Just for my information, I would like only to know the dependancies
between corosync and both IB libs libibverbs-devel librdmacm-devel :
in which configuration corosync needs functions from these both IB libs ?
only if there is a heartbeat is on IP/IB ?
or any other needs ?
Thanks

Hi
thanks but not completely clear for me : I re-write my question
differently :
if I use only ETH networks for heartbeat in rrp mode, is corosync using
anyway functions from these both libs or none ?
Thanks again

Hi,
with corosync.1.2.3-36 (with Pacemaker) on a 4 nodes HA cluster, we got
a strange and random problem :
For some reason that we can't identify in the syslog, one node (let's
say node1) losts the 3 other members node2, node3, node4 (without any
visible network problems on both heartbeat ne

I'm a little bit afraid to upgrade to the latest 1.4 corosync release on
a RHEL 6.1 ... is there no risk of compatibility with other HA rpm
(pacemaker.1.1.5-5 , cluster-glue-1.0.5-2, etc.) ?
Thanks a lot for your help.

And just to complete the "résumé" :

ok but in which release is the active mode fully operationnal (even if not

Hi ag
Hi,
the man page of corosync.conf gives :
"Active replication offers slightly lower latency from transmit to
delivery in faulty network environments but with less performance.
Passive replication may nearly double the speed of the totem protocol if
the protocol doesn’t become cpu bound"
