No. Members can submit just fine. Any other messages are held for moderation. I
believe SourceForge has some level of spam filtering too.

positive. When a user registers to the mailing list, his/her first post needs
to be
approved once, then future posts get straight to the mailing list.
Spam messages can be either ignored or rejected.

I don't think this is a good idea. I don't want to find out if the spammers
have figured out how to sign up for mailing lists. If
