I am trying to install openCA base 1.1.1. The issue is during running of
configure script (step 1)
It tries to get the latest version information of perl...but the problem
is my firewalls block such requests and hence it just hangs there...

two suggestions:
1-Check that you have at least one of the MySQL or PostgreSQL *development*
packages.
2-Check that you have the openssl *development* packages as well. If you
installed
openssl from sources, be sure you specify the openssl prefix directory

I'm a newbie to openca also and I'm seeing the same issue that
you reported on 5/31, which was a failure with 'make test'. I
didn't see a response to it but it seems like you were able to
get around it. Could you please let me know what you had to do?

Hi everyone,
I am a newbie to openca, i have read some posts on the installations process
but can not find any like my problem so I raised a new problem: can I add
new user and group account on Linux then edit the httpd_user and httpd_group
in Makefile_global_vars to user the accounts? When I use
I know is a question apparently already asked.. but bothing in the list
gave an answer!!! Pease, i need some enlightement here!
