Rick,
When I attempt the "cvs add mdf2c.in", I get an error stating that it must
first be added to the local repository.
If you want, just try the following and see what happens:
cd dx/bin
cp mdf2d mdf2c.in
cvs add mdf2c.in
I've been getting an error at this point. Basically mdf2c.in is the sam
cd dx/bin
touch mdf2c.in (or somehow create it)
cvs add mdf2c.in
cvs commit mdf2c.in

Pete,
I would check this in, but I've asked how to do it and got no response.
I've tried using the cvs add command but it tells me to add it locally
first. I then try cvs checkout -l for local and it gives me an error. What
is the procedure for adding a file to the cvs tree?
As for the dx script,
My vote was to have 2 copies of dx script, one put in the dx/bin dir so that
dx and e.g. startserver could run within the "dx" tree. Say the "dx" tree
was on a fileserver, having the dx script in the fileserver bin directory
does no user any good.

Dave-
