[OE-core] [meta-debian] build error

2018-03-28 Thread Rajath C S

I followed the instruction provided by meta-debian github page:
https://github.com/meta-debian/meta-debian

During the build process I faced errors while bitbake was do-compiling some
of the recipes.. they are *e2fsprogs, busybox, gettext* etc..

I searched the respective layers i.e, *meta* and *meta-debian* and found
out that this recipes were present in both the layers.

I removed *e2fsprogs* from *meta* layer and *busybox, gettext* from
*meta-debian* and bitbaked again, this removed the errors which was showing
previously during bitbake. I did this because same recipes was present in
the both the layers.

now the build is completed up to 90% but I'm stuck at *gcc-runtime-4.9.2-r0*
do_compile error.

I tried hard but I'm not able to solve this error.

The entire terminal output is as shown below.

*ERROR: gcc-runtime-4.9.2-r0 do_compile: oe_runmake failed*

1. I can install a external WiFi adapter and check for that button in Sato
2. I can install kernel WiFi drivers

yes, when clicked on it. it says Ethernet connection

so, inside oe-core there is a folder and file called :
glib-networking_2.54.1.bb; so now acording to your second msg to enable
wifi should i include this file in MAGE_INSTALL_append command of
local.conf?

[OE-core] [meta-openembeded] bug in adding network layer

2018-03-21 Thread Rajath C S
I am tryiing to add meta-networking layer (to get Internet connection to
poky)and i have included the following line of code in bbconfig file
/home/jarvis/poky/meta-openembedded/meta-networking \

but while building i get this below error

ERROR: ExpansionError during parsing
/home/jarvis/poky/meta-openembedded/meta-networking/recipes-support/libtdb/
libtdb_1.3.15.bb
Traceback (most recent call last):
bb.data_smart.ExpansionError: Failure expanding variable do_compile,
expression was python ./buildtools/bin/waf
${@oe.utils.parallel_make_argument(d, '-j%d', limit=64)}
which triggered exception AttributeError: module 'oe.utils' has no
attribute 'parallel_make_argument'

DO help,

is there any other way to establish Internet connection inside poky?

Re: [OE-core] [oe-core] Packages build via recipe

2018-03-20 Thread Rajath C S
There are no recipes related to keras and tensorflow and there is nothing
ok web. As you told the only option is to write one.

[OE-core] [oe-core] system lock down in middle of build

2018-03-19 Thread Rajath C S
Hi,

so i am workin gon yocto development on my PC as well as on my laptop.
I have also worked on it on others systems, but the strange thing is only
on my PC & laptop the systems gets logged out automatically in the midst of
target build.
Is this a bug?

PS: both my PC & laptop are of high-end configurations

Thanks

[OE-core] Build Error

2018-03-19 Thread Rajath C S
Hi,

1. So while building the target i get the following error,

bitbake core-image-sato
Loading cache: 100%
|#|
Time: 0:00:00
Loaded 1 entries from dependency cache.
ERROR: ParseError at
/home/jarvis/poky/meta-openembedded/meta-python/recipes-extended/python-pyephem/
python-pyephem_3.7.6.0.bb:12: Could not inherit file classes/pypi.bbclass

for which i create a file called pypi.bbclass and copy the code in it and
place it it /poky/meta/classes and run
"bitbake core-image-sato" for which i dont get any error,
is it the right method to be followed?

2. This error appears when i am using bitbake in rocko branch but doesnt
appear when i shift to master branch and build the image; is it fine to
shift branch (i.e. from rocko to master) and build the image?

Thanks

[OE-core] Branch shifting [image-build]

2018-03-19 Thread Rajath C S
What is the reason that we shift to a branch called rocko while installing
poky?
The reason I ask this is , I was getting an error named classes/.pypi
inherit not found.. So I shifted the branch to master and ran bitbake and
it doesn't show any errors.
Will I have any problems later or is shifting branch fine?
Thanks
