Hi, Raphael, good to know that can be more or less easy to achieve.
About Github on v8, you never lose an opportunity to make campaign ;), but
don't worry, I'm with because I think OCB can be managed on GitHub because
for now we don't have custom translations for these branches (although it

You are right, Raphael, but first effort must come from OpenERP itself,
because I think up to now, OpenERP base doesn't work with Python 3, doesn't
it? Next LTS release of Ubuntu may include by default only Python 3 [1], so
maybe it could be a push forward to improve this compatibility.

Hi all,
I'm wondering what will be the strategy for integrating all current patches
on future v8 OCB that have been integrated on OCB v7 branch and that are
not going to land on official v8 branch. Can it be easily automated?

Hi, Antony/Fabien,
Do you think it's time now to discuss the features of the new qweb report
engine? Do you plan to invest more RD in it? I consider this basic to
achieve the ultimate report engine and the only one.

Thank you but for me this ins't a professional solution
Honestly, Francesco, I see Holger's proposition more professional that the
one you are making, but it's just a suggestion. If you want, keep it in the
same way you're doing.

Hi, Antony,
I worked some time ago (on v6.0) in two modules called
*account_periodical_invoicing* and *sale_recurring_orders* that play with
these concepts. I have been maintining them up to v7, but they work in an
isolated way and with some incomplete concepts (for example. analytic
entries
to the source code. I will check it.

Hi, Fabien,
I also agree that your migration process against community process
(OpenUpgrade and others) is and will be in a short time more efficient and
with better quality than any community process, simply by actual numbers of
people working on both solutions. But this can reverse if more
Hi, community,
When we agreed community conventions, we talked about changing version
numbering in two ways:
- Change minor version number when *any* fix/improvement/etc that
doesn't change DB layout.
- Change major version number for big refactorizations or changes that
affects DB
Hi, Raphäel,
I would love also to have a decent package manager, but we still have the
same problem with git that we had months ago: a way to make translations as
easy as with Launchpad. Do you know any way to perform this?

Indeed, as Nhomar said, the topic in this thread is another, although
related to what you're saying. BTW, I have still the same issue with your
proposition: how do you manage translation via web interface in Github like
Rosetta makes in Launchpad?
Regards.

Hi, Raphäel,
If the translations are not a problem, I see then reasonable to try with
one pilot Launchpad project to split on GitHub subprojects and see if all
goes right. What the others think? Can we try?

Good to know it! Stefan was searching something similar. I have a more
basic one with the same purpose, so I will take a look and give my opinion
to let this as the standard one.
