Never thought about that but it looks like you can adapt to for your use
case.
It uses the shift codes defined in hr.shift_code model. So I imagine you
can define different type of shift codes for different type of holidays.

planning of the duty roster? It would be fantastic.

It doesn't do automatic planning. I am not sure that should be done.
This module is actually part of a larger project that I am working for my
client in manufacturing industry, and thought it would be useful for
someone else. It hasn't been thoroughly tested as a module, but should work
