That missing header (common.h) is in libibcommon. Somehow, libibcommon
is not installed. libibumad depends on libibcommon. Is this a
build/install script issue with OFED 1.2 ? Vlad ?

Try OFED-1.2-20070221-1741. This issue was fixed in this package.
