[OpenID board] location and time of board meeting?

2010-11-29 Thread Dick Hardt
Hi Don, checking if we have a building / room for the board meeting. Also, want to confirm the meeting time is from 3-5. There had been discussion on having it longer to make better use of John and Nat's time. -- Dick ___ board mailing list

[OpenID board] Unable to authenticate, therefore unable to nominate myself

2010-11-29 Thread Chris Messina
I've been trying to authenticate on the foundation member site for the past two days and have had no luck. I've been in touch with both Janrain and Darin from Refresh to no avail. If I'm not the only one unable to authenticate with my delegated OpenID, I wonder who else has been unable to

I was planning to nominate myself for the board tonight (was busy with family over the weekend), but the UI to nominate myself has gone away. I thought today (11/29) was the last day to nominate myself. Is that GMT or something weird? Or was it 11/29 meaning 11/28 11:59p? I'd really like to

I've been trying to stay out of this because I'm a candidate but in the interest of clarity, mostly as a past election committee chair, I'm going to communicate only facts and then entirely recurse myself from any involvement in decisions made by the foundation based upon those facts. As the

Seems like my fate is sealed as well. I for my part meant to second a few people, but failed to do so at approx 4pm. The site gave no indication of time zone, and it did not even occur to me it might be UTC. Those nominated people who don't have enough seconds could make the -- to me -- very

Mailman bounced this email originated by Brian Kissel. I'm forwarding to the list for Brian... Don, can you please advise? I don't think it's our desire to block folks due to confusion on the specific time the nominations were to close. Also, I'd guess a number of folks would like time to

It looks to me like Chris has a legitimate problem with accessing the site, so I do think we should rectify that. I think it is unwise to start changing the election rules, and that you are twits for leaving it to the day to do your nominations. However there seem to be enough people in the

Because I'm a candidate, I'm going to stay out of this other than to suggest that all people who are candidates or might be candidates should likewise recuse themselves from participating in any decisions about whether to alter the outcome of the nomination process or not. I do believe that

To add some data to this discussion: - the nomination period was opened two weeks ago - it was clearly stated that times were Pacific - 12 people nominated themselves for 5 board seats - of those, 3 legitimate nominees did not receive enough seconds (the fourth appears to be spam of some sort)

I didn't forget, I just chose to leave it to the last minute, which is a common trait shared by many high performers. :p If I'm the only one in this boat, and if the board would rather stick to the 11/29 means NOON pst than allow me to nominate myself, that's their decision. But my guess is that
