[OpenIndiana-discuss] LACP between OpenIndiana and a Cisco C3560: only some traffic passes.

Hi Udo, I had the switch in access mode already (though I did try to force it as a trunk out of frustration). The switch config is as follows: interface Port-channel10 description ARC01_LACP switchport mode access ! interface GigabitEthernet0/41 description ARC01_LACP switchport mode access

Hm, looks ok so far. Can you ping yourself on the interface IP ? The usual stuff is to check /etc/hostname.aggr1, /etc/hosts (should be a link to /etc/inet/hosts) should contain the IP adress and name of the host on that interface (it seems it does not, since your routing table shows only the IP,

I can ping the interface - but I can actually do that even when both the underlying NICs are unplugged. I'm not at work, but I know that /etc/hostname.aggr1 didn't exist when I checked. I'll check the other things you mentioned tomorrow - thanks. Regards, Antony Brooke-Wood Mobile: +61 404 460

@Jim Shared storage is indeed another interesting point. I don't completely follow what you do with your ESX datastores. VMFS is a clustered FS. ESX doesn't provide any redundancy. Their VMFS best pratices recommend that you should use one VMFS datastore per lun. So all blades running ESX and
