That is a mainly a policy issue, for now we compile all C++
packages (including LLVM/Clang) in OI-SFE with GCC, however that
may change in the future

there is no legal entity to donate to yet. We plan to

If you really care we could create some shutdown/halt/reboot
wrappers in /usr/gnu/bin which just call /usr/bin/shutdown with
the appropriate options, should be simple.
