That is unfortunately a piece of Hardware we never test as we have USB3
ports usually in all setups I am aware. So there wont be a report.
It should generally just work as USB is pretty standardised so is PCIE.

I would like to use an external usb3 disk for backups of an openindiana
computer without usb3 port (a tower with P8B-M ASUS motherboard). Is
there an usb3 PCIE add-on card known the work with openindiana ?

Just note that for compliant USB 3.1 support, that is not fully feature
supported yet.I know we have that itchy feeling...
