I am not an expert either. May knowledge is sort of "if it builds with gcc-10 and gmake test is ok then i am happy - FAIL otherwise". At the moment i don't find time to work through the gcc7-package-list (since 06.08.2023 now) and the new room for my little daughter (3) isn't ready yet.. We are only a few people that are using illumos-based distributions, and we all have to work together, everyone with the time and skill that is there. Whilst being here i learn about how much work it is to keep a distribution on time, and sometimes how complicated it is to 'only' compile a packages with a different compiler :-/ I am interested in assisting and will do so when i find time again. Thank you Carl ___ openindiana-discuss mailing list openindiana-discuss@openindiana.org https://openindiana.org/mailman/listinfo/openindiana-discuss Hello! A first simple list of packages that are build with gcc-7 would contain the ones that are packaged before Dec-2022: pkg list |grep 2020 Be aware these are only the installed ones. On my Laptop this command finds 132 entries. I had some scripts to build a list, with finding the compiler of a lib, then search the package for that lib, but i don't find that scripts anymore, so below is my list as of 2023-08-6, locally installed packages here, too.. I will search for the scripts that you can run it on your own.. P.S. Maybe the timestamp of the Makefile in the source tree would be a hint, too - didn't thought of that before..
