This morning I setup Skype using VirtualBox 6.1.40 and my Logitech
Webcam, by creating a LinuxMint VM, installing VirtualBox additions,
associated VB Webcam with Logitech C920. I had to configure the
LinuxMint audio input to be Video to use the Webcam audio.

Hi Marc,
I have not tried Zoom, but had some success with VirtualBox running
Linux and allowing Linux access to USB peripherals

An OpenSource Client we could think about supporting is libwebrtc for
the brwoser versions. Our Firefox may be convinced to add that
capability since it is present on the Linux build of Firefox.

If somebody gets it
AFAIK, Zoom is proprietary and only available for Windows, macOS, (some) Linux,
and iOS and Android mobile devices. It uses a number of TCP and UDP ports,
including TCP ports 80 and 443 (http/https) to get started, but others too.
So I think there is probably no open source or Solaris client.
