This is not a recommendation. It is something I have seen many times. Since I
wanted to use
some application in the language I disabled dtrace.
I have to say, this is the silliest recommendation ever. A language
without the ability to dtrace it is a language that I won't bother using.

I would like to just say that whenever I am trying to compile a
programming language (Haskell, Mono, etc.), it is better to disable
support for dtrace as it makes compilation fail.

Hi,
I don't know details, but have a look at perco a-server or mariadb components.
Cheers,

hi,
I had to compile MySQL 5.7 (for internal tests) and attempted to use
dtrace. Looks like it is broken on /hispter (also Berekeley-DB
compilation failed when dtrace is enabled).
Is this general issue with dtrace OR just some parts are broken?
With best regards.
