configuring openLDAP authentication for openNMS in
${OPENNMS_HOME}/jetty-webapps/opennms/WEB-INF/applicationContext-spring-security.xml
and
${OPENNMS_HOME}/jetty-webapps/opennms/WEB-INF/spring-security.d/ldap.xml
works like a charm.
However "HOME => Admin => Users and Groups => User List"

At the moment this is "working as designed" -- OpenNMS does not create group or
user records for users who log in this way. That's something we would like to
change but has not been a huge priority with limited resources available.
We would love to have your help on the docs team.
Hi Lars,
I'm afraid you won't see those LDAP-users there, only locally in OpenNMS
administered users. If you want to add users to categories, ACL's etc. you have
to define them locally in OpenNMS, too. Pay attention to upper/lower case
problems... .
