I mean it explicitly uses /bin/sh (which unlike Linux should not point to /bin/bash on Solaris). Are you really sure it is because of the existance of /bin/bash? Hmmmm... can you provide us with a complete log summary of the whole build process if /bin/bash is present? Because I'm not able to reproduce this on our Solaris 2.8 machines.
