We may need a separate library for the implementation, to avoid mixing C and C++ code in libopensaf_core. Considering M/W No Redundancy SI, an alarm 'SI Unassigned' is raised when performing opensafd stop as M/W SI assignments are not affected by the node lock/shutdwon. This alarm is to be avoided. A patch is sent out were if the node is shutdown/locked and the redundancy model is no-red, the alarm will not be sent. If the AU/DU is on node level it could be possible to use the node group (NG) lock/unlock mechanism to minimize upgrade time.
