Both systems had domainname unset.
I tried to set domain name to the same on both systems. That did not
seem to help.
I tried, as per Paul's suggestion to limit the vers to 2, this works.
It does not work when the vers=3 or when version isn't limited.

If you monitor this thread, you will see the GT9400 is now on the list as
supported.
I have a GT 9400 as well, but the problem I am having is the vga text is still
showing and the screen seems sluggish.

The failsafe does not appear to understand the 'boot' command. I tried setting
the svcadm milestone -d none: svcadm Repository is read-only. Exiting. Init 6
and rebooting puts me back to the same problem. Can I edit grub to do this?

I think that these two are good for an initial release. Personally the R600 is
better because I usually dock my laptop for "serious" work and only use it for
browsing and email on the run.
