If you haven't subscriptions from Sun then you haven't updates for apps and
security updates too. So switch to dev version and test it again.

Just to follow up, I looked at the create_ramdisk script
(/boot/solaris/bin/create_ramdisk) and it has a dependency on mkisofs.
If it can't find the mkisofs binary it sets the variable $format to ufs,
this seems to cause a problem if the system has a ZFS root. Installing
SUNWmkcdr and SUNW
There is no /var/crash directory.

If they both are part of same transaction group, they both gonna be on disk,
because as name suggests it is "transaction" so it is either successful or not,
can't be "partially successful". But for those operations to be in same
transaction group, there can't be much delay between them. It is no
oh, one more thing, try upgrading to /dev before filling any bugs, i'm
sure a great many things were fixed since that opensolaris was
released.
To switch to the /dev repository

if there is that. try running the following command
mdb -k unix.n vmcore.n
where n is a number
after that run, in the prompt of mdb, run
