I had the similar issue which seems to be related to pango. Upgrade to
the latest svn could partly fix this. Please also note the bug here:

Wonderful news, except that it's not working for me.
I'm actually running Solaris 10 (08/07), and when I try running firefox 3.0b2,
it complains about a missing library.
#ldd /opt/sfw/lib/firefox/firefox-bin returns:

If you look at the package name you can see that the current builds are for
Solaris 11 aka Nevada.
