[osol-discuss] Nexenta Alpha 4 ZFS
The latest release of Nexenta sports Nevada b36 which contains the newer patches to ZFS as well as 52 bug fixed since the previous Alpha 3 release. I was able to get the latest live-CD and install-CD from the gnusolaris.org website and do a test install on a Dell OptiPlex GX400 which worked well with the OpenSolaris b35 SXCR release. Nexenta mentions there are 3600+ packages available for this distro which is catching up to NetBSD v3.0 package count of about 5941 packages. I haven't spent time reviewing the packages to see how they compare to NetBSD, but this is something to review later. more later __ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam? Yahoo!
