it's so slow, that I need to wait ~1min to see the cursor movement for moving my mouse. Message was edited by: yongsun -- This message posted from opensolaris.org ___ opensolaris-discuss mailing list opensolaris-discuss@opensolaris.org

I have noticed this on my vista amd64 2 gb ram and intel duo sony laptop 2+1 gb of ram.Previously 117 had better performance in both configurations. -- This message posted from opensolaris.org ___ opensolaris-discuss mailing list opensolaris-discuss@opensolaris.org

How much RAM does the Mac have? How much are you assigning to the VM? -- This message posted from opensolaris.org ___ opensolaris-discuss mailing list opensolaris-discuss@opensolaris.org

I've also noticed this, but with an actual image-update to build 122 - something between the interaction of VirtualBox (3.0.4, no guest additions), OSX and likely a graphics driver for XOrg is providing a lot of slowness. Takes probably upwards of 10 seconds to render the GDM login screen. Completely unusable. Glynn ___ opensolaris-discuss mailing list opensolaris-discuss@opensolaris.org

After installing the guest additions, the problem went away. Not sure it is a problem of VirtualBox or Xorg. I meant OSOL B122(new install) in VirtualBox 3.0.4 on top of Nevada 117. Harry > Xorg > took most of the CPU. After installing the guest additions, the problem > went away. The problem was caused by "Unexpected Trap" (Bug ID 6863875). -- This message posted from opensolaris.org ___ opensolaris-discuss mailing list opensolaris-discuss@opensolaris.org

Seems to happen when you use the 32-bit Xorg VESA driver with virtualbox. A possible workaround is to define a 64-bit virtualbox guest with 1GB (or more) of memory. -- This message posted from opensolaris.org ___ opensolaris-discuss mailing list opensolaris-discuss@opensolaris.org
