i'm trying to build openssl-0.9.7-beta1 on OSX 10.1.4, but make is dying at an
undefined symbol of _ftime.
as _ftime is not implemented/deprecated on Darwin, my understanding was that
-DUSE_TOD was supposed to circumvent this problem .
