We are pleased to announce that Innominate Security Technologies AG
(http://www.innominate.com/) has committed to sponsor a new
platform for the upcoming FIPS 140-2 OpenSSL FIPS Object Module
v2.0 validation:

    Linux on Freescale MPC8313

This new contribution will leverage the ongoing effort to include this
new platform, thereby significantly increasing the value of the
resulting validation.

To date the following platforms are included in the validation:

Android 2.2 on HTC Desire smartphone
Android 2.2 on Dell Streak tablet
    VC++ Win32/x86 asm optimisation
    uCLinux on ARMv4 asm optimisation
Fedora 14 on x86-64 asm optimisation
    HP-UX 11i on Itanium, 32bit(hpux-ia64-cc) no-asm
    HP-UX 11i on Itanium, 64bit(hpux64-ia64-cc) no-asm
Ubuntu Linux 32bit x86 with assembler optimisations
    Android 3.0 on Motorola Xoom
    Linux on Freescale MPC8313 CPU

Coding is substantially finished and we are entering the next phase where
documentation and platforms are being prepared for formal testing.
There is still a limited window of opportunity for including uncomplicated
platforms directly in this validation, but at this point some more
challenging platforms will have to be deferred to a later "change letter"
modification process.
