The test passes with the bn_mul.c from the stable branch. The version on
the dev branch is broken (also with the C version of bn_sub_part_words).

Interesting! BN_mul() could be one problem, although it was some time
ago I made the last change to it...
I'll check it out as soon as I can.
autoconf/automake does not work on Windows
I strongly agree with Geoff that the maintainers will probably find it easier
to maintain three "native" build environments -- Win32, VMS, Posix-like --
than the current scheme where things are shoe-horned into a really messy
