I'd suggest you use the CA.pl script instead. That should make things much
easier.
i have a csr (in pem format(by default)) and a key
I want to sign the csr with my domains root CA
Where is this root CA and key? If it has been created
rtest.key
and rtest.csr
I have cat'd rtest.key into rtest.csr
then run the above...
I did this because it compains about needing a key
If i dont have to do this please tell me why
So its looking for a trsuted certificate

OpenSSL Project http://www.openssl.org
to generate the CSR and private key on the server (windows 2000
advanced) but when i try windows always signs it for me with its own
rootCA ( which is very annoying) is there another way of doing this...?
ie using openssl

Hi,

how do i generate a CSR for a windows 2000 advanced server?
it its to be signed by my own CA cert
the cert will be used for internal comms
I dont know how to genereate it on the windows box.
I need to generate the key first and then the cert, is that right???
thanks

routines:SSL3_GET_RECORD:wrong version
number:s3_pkt.c:297:
so the packet reaches the BIO ssl.
So I cannot figure out why the handshake hangs up like that. Why the
server is not reacting, or answering.
Does anybody have an idea?
Thanks

You can't use SSL/TLS over UDP due to its unrealiable nature though a draft
standard is being discussed in the ietf
for the TLS, but found nothing saying
that we have to use a specific socket type. The socket of bluetooth has
a limited pdu of maximum 64kB, could that be a reason?
